FIBA ASIA SUB ZONE - SABA

The newly formed FIBA Asia Subzone, South Asia Basketball Association (SABA) elected Abhijit Sarker of Bangladesh (standing 3rd from left in pic above) as its Secretary General at the concluding session of its Congress held a day before the FIBA Asia Mid Term Congress.
The SABA Congress also nominated Lama Tendi Sherpa of Nepal (standing 4th from right in pic above) and Ahmed Hafiz of Maldives (standing 3rd from right in pic above) besides Sarker to join SABA president Ajith Kuruppu of Sri Lanka (seated 2nd from right in pic above) as it representatives to the FIBA Asia Central Board.
Ajit Kuruppu will represent SABA on the FIBA Asia Executive Committee.
